Les inscriptions s’ouvrent le mercredi 14 mars 2018, à partir de 10h !Incontournable depuis cinq ans, la course à pied de laquelle les coureurs sortent … multicolores, se déroulera au Stade Pierre Mauroy. Vous êtes prêt pour votre dose de bonheur en poudre ? Alors vous pouvez vous y inscrire ! Course et festival … riches en couleurs !Voici un aperçu de ce qui attend les inscrits 5 km de course à pied, sans chrono ni classement. L’important est de franchir la ligne d’arrivée, repeint de la tête aux pieds ! 4h de festival. Animés par de grands noms de la scène électro française, mais également des locaux et des Djs Virgin Radio ! Des tonnes de couleurs. Tous les km, les coureurs sont aspergés de poudre colorée ! Sur le festival, des lancers de couleurs ont lieu toutes les 20 minutes. Avis à ceux qui souhaitent tenter l’expérience. You'll dress up in sparkling whites with bright color accents in preparation to become a human work of art. You can't help but smile as you and your favorite people get ready to run with color. HEALTHY After a morning with Color Me Rad your glutes will be tighter and your outlook be will be brighter. Throughout our 5kish course you'll go through 5 color stations where you'll be covered in color powder. You can run or your can walk. You can work towards a goal or you can wing it. Color Me Rad gives you the perfect excuse to exercise whether it's your first 5k or your 50th. TOGETHER During our Color Celebration you and your tribe will create colorful memories that will last a lifetime. We'll be waiting for you when you cross the finish line to celebrate your 5k with COLOR! We'll do group color throws every 10-15 minutes, throw out tons of free swag and celebrate together with the best people in Virginia Beach. FAQ Is there an age limit? We welcome all ages, even those still in the cooker. Kids aged eight and older must register as adults, and all minor participants must have their waiver signed by a parent or guardian. Is Color Me Rad safe? The safety of our runners and employees has always been our top priority. Our color is certified non-toxic and cornstarch-based with food-grade dyes, but as with any substance, you won’t want it in your eyes. All Color Me Rad volunteers receive strict instructions to throw color below the head, but as an extra precaution, many runners opt to wear sunglasses or goggles, and the occasional bandana over the mouth and nose while passing through color stations. We want everyone to be as safe as possible, so if you are allergic to corn or food dye, participation in Color Me Rad is strictly off limits. If you are pregnant or have other health concerns, consult with your doctor. What time should I arrive? In a perfect world, we recommend you get there about 30–45 mins before your start time. This will give you wiggle room should you encounter traffic, choose to shop at the merch tent, or stretch out before the run. If your location utilizes shuttles, you’ll want to give yourself even more time. We’ll send you an email and update your Facebook event page with details should your location require unique instructions. Can my family and friends come watch and cheer me on? We love supportive cheerleaders! Our only stipulation is that they stay off the actual running course for their safety, and the safety of our runners. We have various forms of color for sale if they want to join in the color throws post-race and get messy with you. Where do I park, and is there a charge? Please check your location's site and Facebook event page to get all details on parking. You will also receive an email 1-2 weeks before the event with further details. I lost something at the event, what do I do? All lost items are taken to our check-in tent. If you’ve already left the venue, you can email us at help to help find any missing objects! What if I can't make it to packet pick up? Don’t stress; someone else can pick up your packet for you, they just need your printed or digital ticket or information with them. If you don’t have any friends willing to help out, we provide one final option packet pick-up on race day. This last resort is not without consequences, however, as lines tend to be extra long on race day, so plan accordingly, and arrive at least an hour early. Can I bring my pet cat,dog, or lizard? We love your pets, which is why they aren’t allowed. For the safety of pets and all participants, please leave your furry/scaly/slimy/squawking friends at home. Participation will be prohibited should they tag along. Service animals are allowed, but please bring required paperwork of proof. Is Color Me Rad A Non-Profit? Color Me Rad is a for profit business. That said, Color Me Rad has a long and rich tradition of working with and supporting local non-profits. Here's how it works...in each city Color Me Rad does an event they select a charity partner to work with. In exchange for a donation, the local charity provides volunteers for the event. Since 2012, Color Me Rad has donated over $3,000,000 to various charities across North America. What do I wear? Our color appears most vibrant on a clean white backdrop, so make sure whatever you wear is eligible for a tie-dye, as staining is not uncommon. You’ll receive a Color Me Rad t-shirt with your registration, but we like to keep those as mementos for after the race. We’ll have lots of Rad-branded options available including white tees, tanks, and tutus for purchase at packet pick-up and on race day. Does the color come out? The powdered color is washable, and should easily wash off of skin and out of hair. Can I sponsor or become a vendor at Color Me Rad? L’évènement Color Me Rad consiste en une course longue de 5 km durant laquelle les participants sont aspergés de différentes couleurs en poudre tous les kilomètres. Le rose, le bleu, le vert et le jaune sont les principaux pigments qui sont mis en avant durant ces kilomètres. L’ambiance de la course Color Me Rad. Durant la course, il n’est pas réellement nécessaire de courir tel un marathon. Le but n’est pas de franchir en premier la ligne d’arrivée, mais de rester groupés surtout au moment du jet des couleurs pour que l’effet coloré, convivial et amusant soient véritablement mis en relief. Ainsi, il est conseillé de venir en groupes, que ce soit en famille ou entre amis pour partager des moments de fous rires et de joie sans modération. Qu’importe que vous marchiez ou couriez, le seul critère obligatoire est de vous munir de votre bonne humeur. Quelles sont les origines de cet évènement ? La course Color Me Rad tire ses origines de la fête nationale indienne, la Holi, également appelée la fête des couleurs où des milliers de gens sont aspergés de diverses couleurs tout en défilant dans la rue et en faisant la fête. C’est aux Etats-Unis que l’évènement Color Me Rad fait ses débuts, avec un succès phénoménal qui prend rapidement de l’ampleur en Europe. Depuis, de nombreuses régions françaises se sont essayées à cette festivité qui n’est pas pour déplaire aux petits et grands, garçons et filles. Les grandes villes de l’Hexagone où se déroule habituellement cet évènement sont Lyon, Paris, Strasbourg, Toulouse, Clermont Ferrand, Bordeaux et Nantes. Comment s’y inscrire ? La participation à la course Color Me Rad est payante. Les organisateurs reversent une partie des recettes à des associations caritatives locales, en vue de montrer leur volonté à promouvoir le sport tout en se divertissant. Chaque futur participant doit s’inscrire sur le site de l’évènement en remplissant un formulaire d’inscription. Il est à noter que tout dossier manquant ou rempli d’une mauvaise manière n’est pas pris en compte. Il est donc important d’effectuer dûment cette étape. Le prix de la participation est très varié il existe un tarif pour ceux qui viennent seuls, ceux qui effectuent une inscription en groupe au minimum 5 personnes, les étudiants sous présentation d’un justificatif, et les enfants. Quels sont les règlements ? Globalement, il n’existe pas de règlement strict comme pour le cas des marathons lors de l’évènement Color Me Rad. Toutefois, certaines règles de base sont imposées pour veiller à la sécurité et au bon déroulement de la festivité. Un échauffement de 30 minutes avant le départ de la course doit être fait par chaque participant, bien que ce ne soit pas une course chronométrée. Chacun doit obligatoirement porter un T-shirt blanc afin de faire parfaitement ressortir les couleurs tout au long du parcours. Il est déjà compris dans le pack de départ qui vous est offert sur place. Enfin, un kit est attribué à chaque participant inscrit en bonne et due forme à l’évènement. Il comprend un T-shirt blanc, une paire de lunettes, un faux tatouage RAD, un bracelet, un dossard et de nombreuses autres surprises. Affiche de l’événement Color Me Rad Nantes. Nantes, une des escales favorites de la course haute en couleur En 2019, la ville de Nantes accueille pour la cinquième fois consécutive l’évènement et pour la sixième fois depuis son importation en France. C’est l’occasion pour les Rad Runners » appellation donnée aux participants de la région, et de tout le pays, de découvrir la localité et de profiter des diverses animations proposées sur place. L’évènement s’est tenu le premier septembre 2019 au Parc Exponantes, où des animations Dj et des heures de festivité ont été au programme. L’ambiance a été quasiment bouillante avec les meilleurs morceaux des dance-floor français et étrangers. Il est à noter que les diverses couleurs en poudre sont importées directement d’Inde et sont fabriquées à partir de fécule de maïs afin de préserver l’environnement. Ce genre d’évènement est une occasion pour la ville et la région de promouvoir le tourisme local et pour les étrangers de découvrir Nantes et ses divers endroits dédiés au sport, comme le stade de Foot, les salles de sport ou le Centre Nautique.
